About us
Services

Services

Food & Daily Hygiene.

As life's main source of survival and most basic need, TREA provides food & daily hygiene assistance either boxes or through vouchers redeemable at local supermarkets to Lebanese and Syrian and Iraqi refugee families. The food program has been ongoing on a monthly basis since 2011.

Education.

TREA provides basic literacy and numeracy as well as psychosocial support, who would not have had any kind of education otherwise.

TREA also provides training in soft skills for youth and young adults such as teaching English language and music, providing leadership training, among others.

Medical.

With so many crises occurring in Lebanon including COVID19 pandemic, TREA provides medication & covers medical bills for people suffering from chronic diseases  and for the elderly.

Counseling.

People come to TREA not only for physical needs, but because they see people who care about them.  Besides rehab for substance misuse, our activities include nurturing and healing of youth, as well as restoration of marriages, unemployment, and legal problems.

Everyone needs to know that they are not alone and that someone truly cares about them. The result of not having those things often results in depression and anxiety. TREA cares.

Empowerment.

Women constitute 50% of the population. If their voices are not heard and their  basic rights are not provided, then we are losing half of the world's potential. Gender equality/equity is a human right, and as such TREA works with vulnerable women to empower them into becoming who they are supposed to be: strong, independent, and worthy.

Change.

In order for change in Lebanon to occur, the youth and young adults who represent the country's future generation, have a major impact of Lebanon's tomorrow. Therefore, TREA listens to the demands of the youth, their struggles, and their suggested solutions, and cooperates with relevant authorities to ensure that this new generation is making an impact. TREA encourages the youth to be committed to their country above all.

Our Activities

Our Activities

Some of our latest activities include:

Lebanon Crises

Lebanon's current compounded crises, including but not limited to, the economic crisis and devaluation of the Lebanese Pounds to the Dollar, unemployment, people's inability to access medical assistance, the Port of Beirut Blast, among others, has led to tremendous repercussions on the Lebanese and refugees alike. TREA provides assistance to those in most need. Food boxes, food vouchers, hygiene products, blankets, mattresses, medication and medical assistance, etc. are distributed on a monthly basis.

Women Empowerment

TREA is a firm believer in gender equality/equity. As such, TREA has created programs that aim at empowering women as well as redefining masculinity in men. One such program is targeted towards changing thoughts and predetermined misconceptions at what masculinity is. Instead of men exerting their power and authority through gender-based violence, the men in the program were encouraged to cook with their wives a meal that would be served later on in the day to the committee. The couples that cooperated most together and prepared the most delicious meal would win prizes.

Another program related to women empowerment is to provide capacity building classes that allow women to expand their already existing skills (such as cooking, knitting and sewing painting, etc.) that would allow them to work by selling their products and become more financially independent.

Children & Youth Programs

Today's children are tomorrow's future. TREA aims to ensure that Lebanon's next generation is educated, mentally and emotionally healthy, and makes a positive impact in their future. Focusing on education and psycho-social support, TREA provides basic literacy and numeracy for children who have not had access to any kind of education, psycho-social support to children who have gone through trauma, as well as vocational training to youth who have dropped out of school as a result of the ongoing crises.

TREA also provides educational entertainment to children and youth which includes projects such conducting events during Christmas and other holidays, distributing gifts, food, and other basic commodities, holding talent shows for the youth to identify and expand hidden talents, and provide a safe space for children and youth where they can have fun and know that they are well-cared for.
